Olympia is located 3 hours from Athens, on the western side of Peloponnese. The first visit is the archeological site of Olympia which is filled with over 70 temples dedicated to Zeus the father of gods and other Olympian gods. The archeological site of Ancient Olympia was listed as a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Located to the side of the archeological site, the Museum of the Olympic Games is also worth the visit. This museum is dedicated to the games that formed the original Olympics, with detailed descriptions of the events and plenty of artifacts.
